I am guilty more than once of such a mistake. Time wasting is not only a process that reduces the amount that you can do, but completely alters the experience. Hasty decision making is more likely to lead to an average configuration-what fits the time, whatever is there. By pre-planning, you can do changes in colors, format, even little things like the definition of the roofline or the placement of the accent lights.

It also somewhat demonstrates a different variation of how the installers will work without being in a tight schedule. It is colder in early season. The crews are not racing up and down the avenue of houses and it is echoed in the end. Lines are more advanced, placements considerate. You must touch it.

Weather is also a factor especially towards season ending, towards the end of December. I previously thought that there is no difference when the lights are put up provided that they are put up once. The other aspect that the people cannot wait is the level of good time slots disappearance. Weekends go first. And early evening dawns. You soon have to choose between embarrassments or tardiness which you would not like to observe. Early bookings are not time sensitive, rather it is preference.

And when completed you forget it. No calls at the last minute, no reorganization of the plans, no availability checks. The lights are on, they are operating and you will only have to watch them till the end of the season and not half way through.
